Elena Vladova

Journalist, Translator and Writer

Elena Vladova is a Varna-based journalist and translator (French, English). She writes books for children and adults: “Stories of Ivanka Ivanova” (3 books, one bilingual in Bulgarian and French), “The Man that was sighing” (fairy tales), “Stories from the Bellybutton of the world”, “How Ivanka Ivanova started thinking positive about New Year's Eve” (short comic in Bulgarian and English), “How Ivanka Ivanova met Mr. Farawayman” (short comic in Bulgarian and English), “The Dragonfly and the bracelet” (fairy tale, trilingual book for children in Bulgarian, French and English). She has written plays for puppets and translated comics. Translator of the plays „L’éloge de la folie” by Jean-Marc Chotteau (bilingual in Bulgarian and French) and „Les déserts lieux” by Emmanuelle Cordoliani (bilingual in Bulgarian and French). Editor of the web magazine www.urban-mag.com and of the French language site www.urban-route.com. A certified Montessori teacher, she organizes creative writing and foreign languages teaching workshops for children, alone and in collaboration with visual artists.
